Blackfast 970m is an iron accelerated iron-manganese phosphate process for the treatment of iron and steel. The phosphate surface has the ability to adsorb large quantities of subsequently applied oil giving excellent corrosion protection. 970m gives a coating weight in the Class 1 category of DEF STAN 03-11.
